About Me

Hello, Derrick here. I’m a multimedia journalist and cross-platform producer. I’ve just completed an an internship at The Oklahoman and NewsOK.com, where I worked on a series called Stories of The Ages - a look into Oklahoma’s history using long-format multimedia story telling. I also helped out with developing the Know It pages and community sites. 

Am also a graduate student at the University of Missouri working on a thesis about funding models for long-form multimedia journalism. 

Have worked at StraitsTimes.com, CNN.com and The Associated Press. This blog is about my explorations, experiments and endeavors in journalism; how stories can be better told with emerging technology and how they can be sustained financially. See my complete resume here and find me @derrickhozw.
